Welcome Hollister Lake Elementary!

Hollister Lake, now known as Windsor Lake, is a local landmark just to the west of our school site. It was created in partnership between local farmers, including Edward Hollister, and the Lake Supply Ditch Company in the early 1880s to help supply the area farmers with much-needed water. Hollister and his wife Charlotte were primary landholders whose northernmost land adjoined the lake. The town of Windsor is said to be named after Hollister's hometown of Windsor, New York.

Our ties to the past are further enhanced by the spirit of the 1923 and 1924 Windsor High School Bulldogs, a team that won the 1924 National Basketball Championships held in Chicago. The phrase "wizards" followed them home and was the spark that changed their mascot from the Bulldogs to the Wizards. This legacy of achievement and dedication continues to inspire us as we become the Bulldogs 100 years later.
